The lamination ultrasonic welding machine is one of the core equipment in the middle stage of lithium battery production (cell assembly). Its main function is to achieve high-quality fusion of the multi-layer interconnects (copper foil/aluminum foil) or current collectors of the cell with the connecting pieces and protective films, providing reliable electrical connections for subsequent module assembly and other processes.
This equipment is widely used in the production of various types of power batteries, including:
The basic working principle of the equipment is "cold welding". The energy is converted by the transducer into high-frequency (typically 20kHz - 40kHz) mechanical vibrations (with micrometer-level amplitude). Under the action of a certain pressure, high-frequency friction generates heat between the metal interfaces.
This heat activates the particles in the metal lattice, causing the molecules at the contact surface to penetrate and fuse with each other, thereby achieving bonding at the molecular level. The entire welding process does not require any additives such as solder, soldering flux, or welding oil, and the welding time is extremely short, usually completing within 0.01 seconds to 2 seconds.
